Since Serenity terminates the Finder, any software that depends upon the presence of the Finder may break when Serenity is run.
DATEBOOK PRO:
The Mini-DATEBOOK window breaks miserably if the Finder is terminated. If the window is open when the Finder terminates, the window closes, but the time continues to be displayed--written right onto the desktop, or onto any windows that may be in the way. Make sure that the Mini-DATEBOOK window is closed before running Serenity. After the Finder has been terminated and then restarted, attempting to open the Mini-DATEBOOK window will result in additional problems.
There is no conflict with the DATEBOOK PRO application, itself.
I notified After Hours of this bug ages ago (before they were bought by Aldus), but they have yet to fix it. If you're a DATEBOOK PRO user, I encourage you to contact Aldus technical support and complain.
Other Problems:
This first version of Serenity has seen only limited beta-testing. If you encounter what appears to be a bug or a conflict, please contact me at one of the addresses listed in the documentation or in the "About Serenity™…" dialog box. I'll be glad to work with you to track down the problem.
